Kylie Jenner’s 21st birthday is August 10—which means the self-made beauty billionaire can legally drink. But to makeup fans, the milestone birthday means only one thing: a new Kylie Cosmetics birthday collection is coming. Jenner took to Instagram to unveil the new launches aptly called the 21 Collection.
“I can’t believe I’m about to 21,” Jenner said as she started her Instagram Story reveal. “It’s definitely the most personal collection that I’ve done. I hope you guys love it. My birthday collections are super special to me, because the first collection I ever did was for my 19th birthday, so this is going to be my third annual birthday collection. My birthdays are kind of what set off collections for me.”
The collection is the “most personal” she’s done because Jenner literally put photos of her face on the packaging. In the collection are six new matte lipsticks in outside packaging featuring a blonde Kylie—but it’s what you’ll find inside the box that’s the most surprising. Each lipstick tube has been painted in six different neon-bright confetti-like colors. The lipsticks inside don’t coordinate (we’re actually happy about that), but are just as bright and bold in their own right. The new shades are: Rager (a watermelon pink), Birthday Behavior (poppy red), Glam (a Schiaparelli pink), August (pinky nude), Rumor (blood red), and Flirtini (rose pink).
We’ll update this post with more of the products and prices as information becomes available.
Jenner often marks major holidays with limited edition makeup launches. This past mother’s day, she let momager Kris Jenner take over the brand to release a capsule collection of makeup. She also marks every Valentine’s Day and Christmas with limited edition collections of Lip Kits, eyeshadow palettes, highlighters, and everything in between.
The next big launch for Kylie Cosmetics will likely be a collaboration with best friend Jordyn Woods, which the two have hinted at for years. “Well, we’ve been wanting to collab for a long time…since she started her company,” Jordyn told E! News earlier this month. “Finally, we found something that works, so I’m very excited and it’s coming out very soon.” The makeup mogul has already collaborated with every sister except for Kendall, who is still the face of Estee Lauder.
